The Englewood Shell Club

The Englewood Shell Club was formed January 23, 1996 to bring together people interested in seashells.
Club members share their enthusiasm and experiences of mollusks of all kinds, but we are most interested in Florida shells.

The Englewood Shell Club meets the Fourth Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm.
From October through April, at Lemon Bay Park
570 Bay Park Blvd. Englewood, FL 34223

Individual membership is $22.50 for the first year, and $15.00 thereafter.
Family memberships are $40.00 the first year & $25.00 thereafter.The extra first year fee covers member name tags.

Programs include speakers on Mollusks, Marine biology, Shell identification and Shell craft.

Field trips have included:
Bahama, Local and South Carolina shelling trips.
The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum.
Sarasota, Sanibel and Melbourne Shell Shows.
Visits to Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium.
Mangrove boat and wading trips.

Members are invited to join the club's special interest groups: ShellCrafters, Shell Study and Outreach.
